I Find a Farrier/Blacksmith ? Question: How do I get onto the Champion Blacksmith Awards Circuit? Answer: The Champion Blacksmith is the smith who wins, or is runner-up at a maximum number of competitions at certain County Shows. The National Blacksmith Championship Committee, on which the Worshipful Company of Blacksmiths is represented, approves the participating shows. The Company presents to the winner the National Championship Blacksmith Cup, a certificate and a cash prize. The runner-up also receives a cash prize. The Best Blacksmith award is given to the smith who receives the highest total points from all the County Shows which run a hot or live forging competition. The Worshipful Company of Blacksmiths presents the winner a plaque and a cash prize. The approved shows are; North Somerset Show, Devon County Show, Royal Bath and West Show, Three Counties Show, Royal Highland Show, Royal Show, Royal Welsh, New Forest, Edenbridge and Oxted and Live International Show.
